These terms cover your use of OT Prep Lab. We have kept them short and plain. By creating an account you agree to them.

What OT Prep Lab is

OT Prep Lab is an educational study tool for people preparing for the NBCOT® OTR and COTA certification exams. It is not medical, clinical or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for your OT education, fieldwork supervision or professional judgement.

OT Prep Lab is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NBCOT®. NBCOT® is a registered trademark of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. All practice items are original.

All practice items are original. We do not promise that any item will appear on your exam, and readiness estimates are estimates based on your practice data, not predictions of your result.

The AI tutor

The tutor answers from textbook passages and shows its sources, but it can make mistakes. Check the cited page when it matters, and report anything that looks wrong.

Your account

• One account per person. Do not share your login or resell access.
• Do not copy, scrape or republish the questions, explanations or other content.
• Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

3-day free trial

Your free trial begins when you create your account and lasts 72 hours. No card is required and no payment is taken automatically. To continue studying after the trial, choose and purchase a one-time pass. Your account and previous study history remain available. During the trial, the AI tutor allows up to 8 requests per day, subject to shared service limits.

Payments

Passes are one-time payments for a fixed number of days, starting when payment is confirmed. Nothing renews automatically. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Refunds

If you ask within 7 days of purchase and have answered fewer than 50 questions on the pass, we will refund you in full. To ask, contact us from the email on your account. A refund ends the pass.

Pass promise (Until you pass plan)

Complete at least two full-length simulations during your pass. If you then sit the exam and do not pass, email support and we will extend your access for 6 months at no charge.

To claim it, email us within 60 days of your exam date with your NBCOT score report. The extension is the only remedy the promise provides; it is not a cash refund.

Changes and availability

We keep improving the product, so features and the question bank change over time. We aim to keep the service running but cannot guarantee it will never be interrupted. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell signed-in users.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
