Privacy policy

The short version: we store what we need to run OT Prep Lab for you, and we do not sell your data.

What we store

• Account details: your email, optional name, and a hashed (not readable) password.
• Study data: your answers, timing, confidence ratings, flashcards, study plan, exam date and tutor conversations.
• If you use retake mode: the score-report results you enter.
• Purchase records: which pass you bought, when, and its status. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
• Basic technical logs needed to keep the service secure and working.

Why we store it

To run the service: score your practice, build your analytics, readiness estimate and study plan, schedule your flashcards, and let the tutor discuss questions you have answered. We also use item-level results in aggregate to find and fix weak questions.

Who else processes it

• Stripe, to take payments.
• AI model providers, to generate tutor replies. Your message and the relevant textbook passages are sent to produce an answer.
• Our hosting and database providers, to store and serve the app.

What we never do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not share your results with NBCOT, schools or employers.
• We do not use your data for advertising.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and data at any time by contacting us from the email on your account. We keep purchase records only as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Cookies

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update this page and tell signed-in users.
